इस एक्सप्रेस हाईवे के निर्माण कार्य को लेकर प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने मंत्रालय और NHAI के अधिकारियों के साथ बैठक की. इसमें नेशनल हाईवे अथॉरिटी के अधिकारियों ने पीएम मोदी को इस एक्सप्रेसवे को शुरू करने की संभावित तारीख बताई।
दिल्ली-देहरादून एक्सप्रेसवे पर बड़ा अपडेट आया है. यह ग्रीनफील्ड एक्सप्रेसवे दिसंबर तक शुरू होने की संभावना है. रोड ट्रांसपोर्ट मिनिस्ट्री के अधिकारियों ने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को बताया है कि NHAI ने दिल्ली-देहरादून एक्सप्रेसवे को दिसंबर तक चालू करने का लक्ष्य रखा है. इस एक्सप्रेसवे से हरिद्वार तक का लिंक मई 2025 तक पूरा हो जाएगा. दिल्ली-देहरादून एक्सप्रेसवे की निर्माण कार्य की प्रगति को लेकर मिनिस्ट्री के सेक्रेटरी और राज्यों के मुख्य सचिवों के साथ समीक्षा बैठक की. टीओआई की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, सूत्रों ने कहा कि पीएम मोदी ने सड़क परिवहन मंत्रालय को एक्सप्रेसवे को बिना किसी देरी के पूरा करने का निर्देश दिया. इसके अलावा बताया जा रहा है इस एक्सप्रेसवे को लेकर भूमि संबंधी सभी पेंडिंग मामलों का समाधान कर दिया गया है।
सूत्रों ने कहा कि इस बैठक में एनएचएआई ने पीएम मोदी के सामने अगले 4 महीनों में एक्सप्रेसवे का बचा हुआ कार्य पूरा करने की प्रतिबद्धता जताई है. हालांकि, एक्सप्रेसवे से हरिद्वार तक रिच-कंट्रोल लिंक को बाद में जोड़ा गया है इसलिए इसे पूरा करने में पांच महीने और लगेंगे. इस एक्सप्रेसवे के जरिए दिल्ली और देहरादून के बीच ट्रैवल टाइम 6 घंटे से घटकर सिर्फ ढाई घंटे रह जाएगा.
दिल्ली-देहरादून एक्सप्रेसवे 264 किलोमीटर लंबा है. इस एक्सेस-कंट्रोल एक्सप्रेसवे को 100 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटे की स्पीड के लिए डिज़ाइन किया गया है. इस एक्सप्रेसवे से दिल्ली और देहरादून के बीच ट्रैवल टाइम घटकर ढाई घंटे रह जाएगा. वहीं, दिल्ली से हरिद्वार दो घंटे में पहुंचा जा सकेगा।
दिल्ली-देहरादून एक्सप्रेसवे और हरिद्वार लिंक को 14,285 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से बनाया जा रहा है. इस रोड प्रोजेक्ट की सबसे बड़ी खूबी है यह है कि इस पर एशिया का सबसे लंबा व ऊंचा वाइल्ड लाइफ कॉरिड
