The Seleção were too strong for the Indian U-17 side but they put up a strong showing in what was the last match of the group stages.
The Indian U-17 team ended up losing 1-3 against a strong Brazil outfit in Goa, in what turned out to be their fourth defeat in a row.

The visitors wasted no time in establishing their superiortiy as Brenner Silva opened the scoring for them with his deflected effort giving Mohammed Nawaz no chance in goal.

However, Nicolai Adam's men were in no mood to give up as they upped the ante and had the reward in the 19th minute following a virtuoso effort from Komal Thatal. He beat his marker for pace and drifted down the left before unleashing a powerful curling drive that made it 1-1 for India, which was also India's first goal in the tournament.
