fter Sen. Kamala Harris D-Calif. lit up social media with her interrogation of Attorney General Jeff Sessions Tuesday, she spent some time making waves at a very different venue: The Women in Film's Crystal + Lucy Awards.

She couldn't make it to Beverly Hills, Calif., but she was there via video. In a pre-taped message, Harris congratulated honorees including Elizabeth Banks and Tracee Ellis Ross, and she explained how film, like politics, should explore 'women's issues.'

But she qualified that objective, adding that those issues 'are as diverse as who we are.'

Harris, who was the first female district attorney in San Francisco and first woman to be elected as California's attorney general, has been asked about so-called 'women's issues' plenty in her political career. How does she response to the query?.
