વડોદરામાં રાત્રીથી સતત વરસી રહેલા ધોધમાર વરસાદના કારણે વડોદરાનું જન જીવન ખોરવાયું છે. વડોદરામાં રાતથી ધોધમાર વરસાદ પાડવાના કારણે ચાર ઇંચ જેટલો વરસાદ નોંધાયો હતો. વરસાદ પડવાના કારણે વડોદરાના અનેકો વિસ્તારમાં પાણી ભરાઈ ગયા હતા. વરસાદી પાણી સમગ્ર વિસ્તારમાં ફરી વળવાના કારણે લોકોને રસ્તા પર નીકળવામાં ઘણી મુશ્કેલીઓનો સામનો કરવો પડ્યો હતો. પાણી ભરાઈ જવાના કારણે સવારે બાળકોને શાળાએ લઈ જવા માટે આવતી સ્કૂલ વાન પણ બાળકોને લેવા માટે પહોંચી ન હતી. જેના કારણે વડોદરાની ઘણી શાળાઓમાં શાળાઓમાં વિદ્યાર્થીઓની હજરી નહિવત પ્રમાણમાં જોવા મળી હતી.
બીજી તરફ વડોદરાના અલકાપુરી ગરનાળામાં વરસાદી પાણી ભરાઈ જવાના કારણે લોકો અવર-જવર માટે ગરમાંનાળાનો ઉપયોગ કરી શકતા નથી. આ ગરનાળામાં પાણી ભરવાના કારણે એક પ્રાઇવેટ કંપનીની બસ પણ પાણીમાં ફસાઈ હતી. વડોદરામાં ઠેર ઠેર પાણી ભરાઈ જવાના જવાના સીટી બસ વ્યવહાર પણ ખોરવાયો હતો. વડોદરા તંત્ર દ્વારા સીટી બસોના રૂટ પર પાણી ભરાઈ જવાની સ્થિતી સર્જાવાના કારણે સીટી બસો બંધ કરવામાં આવી હતી. જેના કારણે કામધંધે જતા લોકો અને કોલેજે જતા સ્ટુન્ડન્ટો અટવાયા હતા.
