George Clooney was put in handcuffs and arrested! And no, it wasn't for a movie.

George was just arrested for protesting outside the Sudanese embassy in Washington DC. Because the embassy is private property, Clooney and the other protestors he was leading knew standing there and refusing to move would end in arrest.
They were reportedly warned to stop three times.
George's dad, journalist Nick Clooney, was arrested with him.
George's publicist Stan Rosenfield says quote: 'They were protesting the violence committed by the government of Sudan on its own innocent men, women and children. They were demanding they allow humanitarian aid into the country before it becomes the largest humanitarian crisis in the world.'

George Clooney was hauled off in handcuffs by secrets service. No word yet on how long he will be in custody but sources connected with him tell us he feels good about the arrest because it puts the spotlight on the crisis..
