You can get there yourself at www.google.com/insights/search. This tool specifically allows you to drill down more on a local level and see what people, maybe in your home state or city or country, are actually typing into the search engines or into Google specifically.

For the sake of this video, I'm going to use the example of dentists in Phoenix, a very common search. I just want to show you what I can find on this tool. So let's type in the keyword dentist. We have the ability to set a filter over here on the right side. Let's go ahead and put this for the United States and from there we'll be able to drill down a little bit more. Let's hit Search. Now, this is Google information so since Google is the dominant force online, we get to see exactly what people are typing into the search engines or into Google, to find exactly what they're looking for.

So we can see in the case of dentists, this Interest over time graph dates all the way back to 2004 and you can see that it's up trending. This is really great to see. You also have the ability to click on this little radio button for News headlines and you can see specifically what people are talking about when it relates to dentists across the United States.
