After banning higher denomination notes in the country, the Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the Motor Vehicle Amendment Bill 2016.

His Amendment aims to improve the safety rules and maintain the road safety in India. The Act provides for standards of traffic rules in India for motor vehicles, grant of driving licenses, and the penalty for violation of these provisions.
