'Growing Pains' teen heartthrob has recently come under fire for his controversial comments about homosexuality. Even his old TV family is turning on him.
Born again Christian-Kirk told CNN's Piers Morgan that he thinks homosexuality is unnatural, detrimental, and destructive to the foundations of civilization.
GLAAD, of course, immediately slammed Kirk saying quote: 'Kirk Cameron sounds even more dated than his 1980s TV character.'
Alan Thicke, Cameron's TV dad from 'Growing Pains,' wrote on Twitter: 'I love Kirk but I may have to spank him...'tho not in a gay way!'
Tracey Gold, who played Cameron's sister on the hit series, changed her Twitter picture to her NOH8 campaign photo and wrote that she is a strong supporter of the gay community and believes in equal rights for all.
Fellow 80's television staples like Neil Patrick Harris tweeted, 'That Kirk Cameron is hilarious!' while Roseanne Barr wrote: 'Kirk or kurt or whatever Cameron is an accomplice to murder with his hate speech.'
Modern Family's gay character, Jesse Tyler Ferguson posted, 'The only unnatural thing about me being gay is that I had a crush on Kirk Cameron until about 24 hours ago' Didn't we all.....
