മൂന്ന് വര്ഷത്തോളമായി കര്ണാടകയിലെ ഇഞ്ചിത്തോട്ടങ്ങളില് അടിമ വേലയ്ക്ക് വിധേയരായ 52 പേരെയാണ് പൊലിസ് റെയ്ഡില് രക്ഷിച്ചത്. ആദിവാസികളും ദളിതരുമായ 52 പേര് ക്രൂരമായി മര്ദ്ദനത്തിനും അടിമവേലയ്ക്കും ലൈംഗിക പീഡനത്തിന് ഇരയായെന്നാണ് വിവരം . കര്ണാടകയിലെ ഹാസനിലാണ് സംഭവം. ദിവസം 19 മണിക്കൂര് ജോലി ചെയ്യാന് വിസമ്മതിച്ചവരെ ക്രൂര ലൈംഗിക പീഡനത്തിന് ഇരയാക്കിയിരുന്നെന്ന്ദേശീയ മാധ്യമങ്ങള് റിപ്പോര്ട്ട് ചെയ്യുന്നു.
ക്രൂരപീഡനത്തിന് ഇരയായതില് 16 സ്ത്രീകളും 4 കുട്ടികളും ഉള്പ്പെടും.
ആദിവാസികളെയും ദളിതരെയും കൊണ്ട് അടിമ വേല ചെയ്യിക്കുന്നുവെന്ന രഹസ്യ വിവരത്തെ തുടര്ന്ന് ഹാസനിലെ പണിപ്പുരയില് നടത്തിയ റെയ്ഡിലാണ് സംഭവം പുറത്ത് വന്നത്. ഹാസനിലും സമീപത്തുമുള്ള ഇഞ്ചിത്തോട്ടങ്ങളിലായിരുന്നു ഇവര് അടിമപ്പണി ചെയ്തിരുന്നത്. പൊലിസ് റെയ്ഡില് രക്ഷപ്പെടുത്തിയവര് ഇപ്പോള് സര്ക്കാര് സംരക്ഷണയിലാണുള്ളത്.
കാവല്ക്കാരുള്ള ഷെഡിനുള്ളില് അതിദയനീയ സാഹചര്യത്തിലായിരുന്നു ഇവര് കഴിഞ്ഞിരുന്നത്.
രാത്രി കാലങ്ങളില് പ്രാഥമിക ആവശ്യങ്ങള് നിറവേറ്റാന് ഷെഡിന്റെ ഒരു മൂലയില് പൈപ്പ് ഘടിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നു. സ്ത്രീകള് ഇത് ഉപയോഗപ്പെടുത്തുമ്പോള് കൂടെയുള്ള പുരുഷന്മാര് തോര്ത്ത് ഉപയോഗിച്ചാണ് ഇവര്ക്ക് മറ തീര്ത്തിരുന്നത്. സമീപത്തുള്ള തോട്ടങ്ങളിലും മറ്റുമായിരുന്നു ഇവരെ അടിമവേല എടുപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നത്.
ഇതുപോലുള്ള നിരവധി പണിപ്പുരകള് ഈ പ്രദേശത്തുള്ളതായി സംശയിക്കുന്നതായി റെയ്ഡിന് നേതൃത്വം നല്കിയ നീതി വകുപ്പ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥര് വിശദമാക്കുന്നു.
മുനേഷ് എന്നയാളായിരുന്നു പണിപ്പുര നടത്തിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നത്. കൃഷ്ണഗൗഡ എന്നയാളുടെ ഉടമസ്ഥതയില് ഉള്ളതാണ് സ്ഥലം. അന്യസംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളില് നിന്ന് ഹാസനില് തൊഴില് തേടിയെത്തുന്ന ആദിവാസികളേയും ദളിതരേയുമായിരുന്നു ഇവിടെ താമസിച്ചിരുന്നവരില് ഏറിയ പങ്കും. തെലങ്കാനയില് നിന്നും ആന്ധ്രയില് നിന്നും തൊഴില് തേടിയെത്തുന്നവര്ക്ക് 600 രൂപയില് അധികം ദിവസക്കൂലി വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്താണ് ഇവിടേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുവന്നിരുന്നത്.
