മലർന്നു കിടക്കുന്ന ദേവീപ്രതിഷ്ഠയും വറ്റൽ മുളകരച്ചു വിഗ്രഹത്തിൽ തേച്ചാൽ ആഗ്രഹ സാഫല്യവും നടക്കുന്ന ക്ഷേത്രമാണ് അണ്ണാമലൈ മസാനി അമ്മന്‍ ക്ഷേത്രം.പൊള്ളാച്ചിയിൽ നിന്നും ഏകദേശം 25 കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെ, ആളിയാർ പുഴയുടെ തീരത്ത്,ആനമല മലനിരകളിലാണ് ഈ പുന്യക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ സ്ഥാനം.ഒരുപാട് പ്രത്യേകതകളുണ്ട് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്, പതിനഞ്ചടി നീളത്തിൽ മണ്ണിൽ തീർത്ത വിഗ്രഹം മലർന്നു കിടക്കുന്ന രൂപത്തിലാണ്. കാൽച്ചുവട്ടിൽ ദേവിയുടെ പുത്രനെന്ന സങ്കല്പത്തിൽ ഒരു ചെറുരൂപവുമുണ്ട്.റെ വിചിത്രമായ ഒരു ആചാരമുണ്ട് ഈ അമ്മൻ കോവിലിൽ. മുളകരച്ച് വിഗ്രഹത്തിൽ തേച്ചാൽ ആഗ്രഹിച്ച കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ നടക്കുമെന്നാണ് വിശ്വാസം.സങ്കടങ്ങൾ എഴുതി ദേവിയുടെ കൈയിൽ കൊടുക്കുന്നത്‌ ദുരിതശമനത്തിനു നല്ലതാണെന്നും പറയപ്പെടുന്നു.ശ്രീരാമൻ നിർമിച്ചതാണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ അമ്മൻ വിഗ്രഹമെന്നാണ് പറയപ്പെടുന്നത്. അതുമാത്രമല്ല രാമ-രാവണ യുദ്ധത്തിനു മുൻപ് ശ്രീരാമ ദേവൻ ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെത്തി പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചിട്ടാണ് പോയതെന്നും വിശ്വസിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ വിശേഷ ദിവസങ്ങൾ ചൊവ്വയും വെള്ളിയുമാണ്. ജനുവരി മാസത്തിലാണ് ഉത്സവം നടക്കാറ്. ഉത്സവത്തിന്റെ അവസാന ദിനത്തിൽ തീയാട്ടവും ഇവിടെ നടക്കാറുണ്ട്.
