Unprecedented enthusiasm was witnessed at the rally in Bandipora which was addressed by Congress President Sonia Gandhi as part of her campaign for J&K polls. Thousands of people turned up at the rally at Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium Bandipora. People were sporting the Congress capes and youth were seen taking pictures with their cell phones. While speaking at the event, Sonia Gandhi said: 'Polls are taking place at a time when people of Kashmir are yet to come to terms with the devastation caused by floods. Elections are taking place at a time when you have faced a natural disaster (floods). It does not feel good to talk politics (but) the relief and rehabilitation work is going on a very slow pace.'.
