दिल्ली के समयपुर बादली इलाके से एक ऐसी घटना सामने आई है जो समाज को झकझोर देने वाली कड़वी हकीकत है। जन्म देने वाले मा-बाप ने अपनी ही दो मासूम बच्चियों को घर में ही मरने के लिए छोड़ दिया। एक हफ्ते से बंद कमरे में एक टूटी चारपाई पर एक दूसरे का हाथ थामे यह दोनों मासूम बहनें दम तोड़ने के कगार पर थीं, लेकिन मौके पर पहुंची पुलिस ने कमरे का दरवाज़ा तोड़ बच्चियों को बाहर निकाला और अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया। दोनों के सिर में जगह जगह गहरे घाव थे और उनके जिस्म में सैकड़ों कीड़े रेंग रहे थे। कमरे का यह खौफनाक मंजर देखकर पुलिस भी दंग रह गई। बताया जा रहा है कि बाप उन पर सितम ढाता रहा और मां इकलौते बेटे को साथ लेकर कहीं चली गई। महज़ 8 साल की हिमांशी और 3 साल की दीपाली का कसूर सिर्फ इतना था कि कि, वह बेटियां हैं। पिता शराब में धूत रहता था और कोई काम नहीं करता था जिसकी वजह से मां करीब 2 महीने पहले ही बेटे को अपने साथ लेकर कहीं चली गई । दोनों बच्चियां अकेली मां की याद में तड़पती रही और बाप भी इन्हें कोसता रहा और आखिरकार 15 अगस्त को पिता भी छोड़कर चला गया। अस्पताल में भर्ती दोनों बच्चियों की हालत में धीरे धीरे सुधार हो रहा है। फिलहाल बच्चियों के मां बाप की खोज में जुटी पुलिस को उनकी दादी के बारे में पता चला तो करीब 80 साल की बुजुर्ग रामेश्वरी देवी ओल्ड एज होम में रहती हैं.। लेकिन दादी ने भी बच्चियों को लेने से इंकार कर दिया, जिसके बाद दोनों बच्चियों को रिहेबिलिटि सेंटर भेजा जा सकता है।
