This Dance is based on one of the Ashta Nayikas called Vasakasajjita- She is a heroine dressed up for the union with her lover, she is eager to meet him, therefore she is busy beautifying herself with clothes, jewellery and cosmetics, (Shringar). Her lover who is suppose to arrive on the same day has not yet come even though the night has crept in. With the slightest sound she jumps with excitement and looks outside the window to have a glimpse of her lover. In the first two occasions she is disappointed as it was a false anticipation. But the third time she is absolutely sure of his arrival. She opens the door with excitement to see her handsome lover standing before her and she immediately feels shy. Then her lover plays with her, plants a rose in her bun, playfully pulls her dupatta or holds her hand, they swing together and she enjoys every single minute of his attention. With great pride she tells Indra Dev that she is not scared of the storm or the heavy rainfall or any difficulty as her lover who is equivalent to Krishna is with her, protecting, supporting her. She tells her lover that he belongs to her and that she only belongs to him. She feels honoured to have been loved by him or to have been capable of receiving his love.
