A group of Gau Rakshaks attacked five cow traders in Alwar in Rajasthan on Saturday. The victims had gone to the cattle fair to trade cows and buffaloes when they were chased and assaulted by the self-proclaimed cow vigilantes. Azmat was also beaten up by the cow vigilantes and believes that cattle fairs should be stopped.

Out of the five men, Pehlu Khan, 55, a resident of Haryana, succumbed to his injuries. According to the police, the assailants affiliated with Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal stopped the vehicles, alleging that the traders were transporting cattle illegally..
