Due to this the mother has been installed outside the sanctum sanctorum. Now devotees are able to have darshan of the mother outside the temple itself. Due to the structure of the temple being very old, the pillars of the sanctum sanctorum were on the verge of collapse. The administration is getting the work of the sanctum sanctorum done in a new style. There was a steady flow of devotees in the temple on Tuesday.

Sanvordem’s Betal Nagnath Sateri temple will be renovated and illuminated for a whopping Rs 4.16 crore, said local MLA and chairman of the Goa Tourism Development Corporation, Ganesh Gaonkar. The project will be executed through GTDC funds and will include the laying of pavers in the area surrounding the temple, the construction of a toilet block, and a facility for devotees to wash their hands and feet before entering the temple. Thanking the chief minister and tourism minister for their immediate consent to the project, Gaonkar told those present on the occasion of the laying of the foundation stone for the project that the constituency will see major development in the next three years.
