Sanvordem’s Betal Nagnath Sateri temple will be renovated and illuminated for a whopping Rs 4.16 crore, said local MLA and chairman of the Goa Tourism Development Corporation, Ganesh Gaonkar. The project will be executed through GTDC funds and will include the laying of pavers in the area surrounding the temple, the construction of a toilet block, and a facility for devotees to wash their hands and feet before entering the temple. Thanking the chief minister and tourism minister for their immediate consent to the project, Gaonkar told those present on the occasion of the laying of the foundation stone for the project that the constituency will see major development in the next three years.
