Shimla. CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has announced in the budget to start the payment of pending arrears of the new pay scale of all employees and pensioners from January 2016 in a phased manner from March 1, 2024. Two and a half lakh employees and one and a half lakh pensioners of the state have outstanding arrears of about Rs 11 crore towards the new pay scale with the government. Along with the arrears, the CM also announced in this budget to release the installment of dearness allowance at the rate of 4 percent from April 1, 2024. There will be an annual expenditure of Rs 580 crore on this. After April 1, employees will be able to take LTC at least twice during their service period.
