Municipal Corporation Shimla will itself overcome the budget shortfall for providing pension to its employees. This proposal has been approved in the finance committee meeting of the corporation held on Tuesday. So far 800 employees have retired from the Municipal Corporation. Till now the Municipal Corporation used to send proposals to the government to compensate for the shortfall in the budget. But the Urban Development Department has clearly said that this is an internal matter of the Municipal Corporation. The Municipal Corporation itself will have to compensate for this. Mayor Surendra Chauhan has given this information.
