The pipes of this scheme, laid in the middle of people's fields by the Jal Shakti Department in the years 1960 and 1965, have now become a headache for the people. The situation is such that water pipes are bursting at many places, due to which people's roads have been broken due to the pressure of water, the grasslands have taken the form of ditches and the fields have become swamps. People have to make their own paths to walk and where water pipes are burst, people have to go in fear. Watch this video report

Due to the continuous increase in temperature, the river drains in Solan have also reached the verge of drying up. There are a total of 756 drinking water schemes in Solan, out of which 248 drinking water schemes have been disrupted due to falling water level. For this reason, Jal Shakti Department is supplying water to different areas after three to four days.
Out of 248 drinking water schemes, 60 schemes are of Solan region in which the quantity of water has reduced.
