WALTAIR DIVISION CELEBRARTES 75th REPUBLIC DAY WITH GREAT FERVOR

Visakhapatnam........ 75th Republic Day was celebrated with great fervor by the Waltair Division of East Coast Railway. Shri Saurabh Prasad, Divisional Railway Manager, unfurled the National Flag and took the Rastriya salami presented by the contingents of Railway Protection Force, Civil Defence and Bharat Scouts & Guides at the Waltair Railway FootBall Stadium.After the fervent republic day parade, DRM Shri Saurabh Prasad conveyed greetings of Republic day and recalled the importance of constitution & noble ideals of our freedom fighters. Addressing the gathering DRM said that Waltair Division is on growth trajectory in all platforms with great deal of relentless efforts by our staff. Emphasizing the importance of constructive work, team spirit, positive thoughts and commitment, DRM said that Waltair Division is moving on progressive path and will be a torch bearer to many divisions.
Speaking on the occasion DRM said that despite challenges, Waltair Division consistently performed well in all the quarters and moving ahead by creating new records. The Division is leading in all departments like safety, Security, infrastructure development, amenities improvement, asset management, human resource management, innovative initiatives for generating additional revenue etc. He said that Waltair Division is on the growth trajectory. For the first time, Waltair Division moved into the bracket of Top 5 Divisions of Indian Railways in terms of freight traffic handled as per performance in Apr-Dec’23. We achieved 100MT of combined loading and unloading on 13.1.24 in less than 300 days for the first time.
