Dharamshala (Himachal) : The Buddhist stupa -Bhim Tilla situated at Chaitaru near Dharamshala has been excavated once . There is a need for further excavation in this monument, which is also included in the proposal of the Archaeological Survey of India. Recently, in the meeting of the department held in Srinagar, the Buddhist Stupa along with other monuments of the state was also discussed, because this site is important from the point of view of excavation. This site was discovered during the construction of the Gagal-Chaitaru road. Some statues and ancient objects were found there. There is still a need for further excavation in the Buddhist stupa, which is included in the upcoming proposal of the department.
