The ground near the tank on the historic ridge of Shimla is continuously sinking. This has put the water tank at risk. This place is adjacent to the Padamdev complex. There are about 15 shops here which have developed cracks, so there is a risk of them collapsing. There is also a water tank on the ridge, where water is leaking. Mayor Surendra Chauhan inspected the spot along with AP Mehboob Sheikh and Alok Pathania and declared this area unsafe and ordered to vacate these shops soon.
