At least 28 people died and nine injured after a bus fell into a 700-metre deep gorge in Rampur in Himachal Pradesh. The bus was carrying around 40 passengers when the accident took place on Thursday morning at 9:15am.
The bus was on its way from Reckong Peo to Solan and met with the accident on NH5 near Rampur, around 120kms from Shimla. A team of National Disaster Response Force along with the local police and rescue personnel rushed in for help. The injured were taken to the nearest hospital for treatment..

A vehicle carrying passengers skidded off and rolled rolled down into a 200-feet deep gorge in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district killing nine people and injuring six others, police said today.
The tempo fell into the gorge at the Chechi Nallah area in the Mahore belt of the district this morning, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Reasi, Tahi Sajad Bhat told Jammu Links News.
He said nine people were killed and six others injured in the incident and a rescue operation has been launched.
