म्हापसा पालिका पावसाळी व्यवस्थापन करण्यात पूर्णपणे अपयशी ठरली असून बाजारपेठेतील व्यापारी पालिकेच्या या भोंगळ कारभारामुळे प्रचंड वैतागलेत. विकासकामांच्या नावाखाली आधीच रस्ते खोदून ठेवल्याने शहरात फिरणं मुश्कील झालंय. त्यात आता बाजारातील उघडून ठेवलेली गटारे गेल्या महिनाभरापासून आहे त्या स्थितीत ठेवल्यानं व्यापारी हैराण झालेत. असा हा पालिका मंडळाचा पांढरा हत्ती कर देऊन कशासाठी पोसायचा, असा सवाल आता व्यापाऱ्यांमधून विचारला जातोय.

माटोळी विक्रेते बनले संतप्त
दरवर्षी चतुर्थीपूर्वी म्हापसा बाजारपेठेत तीन दिवसांचा माटोळीचा बाजार भरवला जातो. यंदा या बाजारावर पालिकेने कारवाई करत विक्रेत्यांना उठवल्यानं मंगळवारी बाजारपेठेत गोंधळ माजला. बार्देशातील ग्रामीण भागातील महिला सोमवारी माटोळीचे सामान घेऊन दरवर्षीप्रमाणे बाजारात दाखल झाल्या होत्या. त्यासाठी पालिकेचा सोपोकरही भरला होता; मात्र अचानक पालिकेच्या अधिकाऱ्यांनी येऊन या व्यापाऱ्यांना बाजार हटवण्याचा आदेश दिला. स्थानिकांवर होणारा हा अन्याय खपवून घेतला जाणार नाही, असा इशारा यावेळी व्यापाऱ्यांनी दिला.
