The critics have had their first look at Disney's new, The Lone Ranger, but will fans agree with the approval ratings? Disney's new 'possible' tentpole, The Lone Ranger, has a lot going for it, in theory. With it's epic story being one of the most iconic western legacies on television, and with two huge stars including Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer headlining, audiences everywhere we're hoping for a slam dunk on this one. And while 97% of fans over on Rotten Tomatoes HAVE rallied their support behind the project, critics are not at all impressed with what they've seen, giving The Lone Ranger a 20% approval rating.
