It was a private wedding ceremony for the Star Wars filmmaker and media was not allowed to attend this low-key profile marriage event. The couple exchanged vows before an intimate gathering at Skywalker Ranch in Marin County, California at 5 pm on June 22. The George Lucas guest list had fellow movie director Ron Howard and actor Samuel L Jackson. After the wedding, Jackson took to Twitter and posted: 'Let's give a Galactic shout out to Master George Lucas & his bride Melody on this their wedding day!! Congrats!.' Even Ron Howard congratulated the newlyweds on his Twitter page. The director tweeted: ' George Lucas Melody Hobson wedding was joy to behold Bill Moyers service was beautiful, nothing short of profound. Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Lucas (sic.' George Walton Lucas is one of the American film industry's most successful filmmakers financially. He is film producer, screenwriter, director, and entrepreneur. He is best known as the creator of the space opera franchise Star Wars and the archaeologist-adventurer character Indiana Jones. He founded Lucasfilm Limited and led the company as chairman and chief executive before selling it to The Walt Disney Company in 2012.

George Reddy (born 15 January 1947)(died 14 April 1972) was a research student in physics at Osmania University, in Hyderabad, India, who was murdered by his opposition on 14 April 1972 in a student hostel, aged 25.The event led to the formation of the Progressive Democratic Students Union (PDSU), a student body on the campus of the university that took its name from the PDS imprint that Reddy had used when publishing pamphlets
George Reddy was a university gold medallist , remembered now primarily for his promotion of Marxist ideasand his opposition to social discrimination and inequality. According to a student friend, he was inspired by 'the emerging Black Panthers movement in the US, the Vietnamese people's struggle against US imperialism and the peasant uprisings in Naxalbari and Srikakulam.
At an event in 2012 marking the fortieth anniversary of his death, a short documentary film about his life, titled Crisis on the Campus, was premiered and also a book titled Reminiscences of George Reddy's.
