The meaning behind the name North West!
What's in a name you ask? If you are anything like me you were, shall I say, surprised by the name Kim Kardashian and Kanye West gave their daughter. I mean.... North West.... Really?
But now, TMZ has learned the meaning behind the name... and while I still think it's a little weird, I can appreciate the sentiment.
Are you guys ready for this though? North West is a metaphor for up. A source revealed QUOTE: 'What's North of North? Nothing.'
Translation: you can't get any higher or any better than their daughter. The source also added that they see their baby girl as 'their North Star.'
Also, both Kim and Kanye see their daughter as the pinnacle of their relationship -- their highest relationship point. And, Kanye had always wanted to him his child North -- regardless of whether it was a boy or a girl. The source went on to add that they always liked the name because it was so unique and no one else had it.
And, there you have it. I suppose it kind of makes sense, right?
