More progress is being made on the remake of The Crow, and we have the details. Variety is reporting that the creator of the graphic novel of The Crow, James O'Barr, is now on board as a consultant on the new project that's being rebooted by Relativity Media. First seen on the big screen back in 1994, the original The Crow was about a musician, played by Brandon Lee, who came back from the dead to avenge the murders of himself and his fiancé. The movie became a cult classic after Lee was accidentally killed while filming the movie. After months of speculation, it was finally confirmed that Immortals star, Luke Evans, will be playing Brandon Lee's character, Eric Draven, with Brazilian director, F Javier Gutierrez on board to direct. And production on the project should start in early 2014. But before that, O'Barr and the director will be heading to this years Comic Con in San Diego to talk about their plans for the film, as well as meet and greet some of The Crow fans. O'Barr wants fans to know that this movie will be a new adaptation of the book, and not just a remake of the original film, and he also said quote 'I believe that this movie will stand alongside Brandon and his film as a valid work of art, and I look forward to collaborating on the project.'.
