With a halt in the exports, the sewing machine industry in Ludhiana, Punjab is bearing the brunt of the present situation in Afghanistan. Ludhiana is considered to be the largest manufacturing hub of the sewing machine industry. It is expected that exports worth Rs 150-200 crores will be disrupted.
