Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja gifted a Test jersey signed by all Indian team members currently touring England to Michael Vaughan for a charitable purpose.

The beneficiaries of the charity remain unknown, although the latter took to his Instagram story to thank Jadeja for his gesture, as he wrote “Cheers @ravindra.jadeja, will make lots of money for a charity”.

Meanwhile, Jadeja is a part of the Indian squad on the ongoing tour of England, where both the teams have the series level at 1-1 currently. Jadeja, who has been a part of all three Tests of the five-match series thus far, remains an unsure starter for the fourth Test, scheduled to be played at the Oval from September 2, as he injured his knee during the third Test in Leeds, and underwent precautionary scans on Saturday (August 28) to ascertain the extent of the injury.

He posted the update on his Instagram story recently, with a caption “not a good place to be at” on the same day India lost the Leeds Test by an innings and 76 runs, the team’s only second loss by an innings under Virat Kohli’s captaincy.

Jadeja had slipped on the first day while fielding, after which he left the field while holding his knee in some pain. He returned later, but did not bowl, while with the bat, he got a quickfire 30 in the second innings before India was dismissed for 278. While there has been no official update as yet about the chances of his inclusion in the XI for the next encounter at The Oval, it is expected that he would recover in time.
