Oxnard, Calif., trustees fired the 31-year-old science teacher, known as Tiffany Six in her adult films, on Wednesday.
'We disagree with the decision by the board to dismiss or seek the dismissal of Miss Halas,' lawyer Richard Schwab said, according to the LA Times. 'It is our intention at this time to vigorously contest the charges.'

Students at Richard B. Haydock Intermediate School started to whisper and spread rumors about their teacher last month, The Associated Press reported.
The school district placed her on administrative leave as it investigated; on Wednesday, trustees voted unanimously to dismiss her.
'We're dealing with the disruption that we believe it would cause our district, and the schools in our district, if she were to return back to the classroom,' Superintendent Jeff Chancer told the AP.
She appeared in the videos before becoming a teacher in 2009, the AP said.
Part of Schwab's defense is that the porn industry is 'very vibrant' in California, and Halas engaged in 'lawful conduct,' The Daily Mail reported.

A middle-school science teacher fired after students learned she had appeared in pornographic movies had hoped not just to get her job back, but to set a precedent for people looking to escape an embarrassing personal history.
A three-judge commission put a decisive stop to both, saying firmly and unanimously that Stacie Halas should not be in the classroom.
'We were hoping we could show you could overcome your past,' Halas lawyer Richard Schwab said Tuesday. 'I think she's representative of a lot of people who may have a past that may not involve anything illegal or anything that hurts anybody.'
Judge Julie Cabos-Owen said such a past matters in an age when technology makes porn easy to access and hard to bury.
'Although her pornography career has concluded, the ongoing availability of her pornographic materials on the Internet will continue to impede her from being an effective teacher and respected colleague,' Cabos-Owen said in the 46-page decision issued Friday by the Commission on Professional Competence.
Halas, 32, was continually deceitful about her nine-month career in porn before she went to work at the school, the judges said.

According to DailyMail, Halas used to teach at Richard B. Haydock Intermediate School in Oxnard, California until she was placed on administrative leave when students found pornographic movies of the 32-year-old teacher, who called herself “Tiffany Six”.
School officials in Oxnard said that they had no idea that Halas appeared in pornographic videos. They believe that that kind of information should have been made clear when Halas told them about the rest of her employment history.
Tom DeLapp, spokesman for Oxnard schools, said:
‘You lie to your boss, that’s grounds for dismissal. The fact that she listed being a lifeguard and being at Subway sandwich but chose to eliminate the fact that she was in the porn industry is very telling.'
This may be true, but Richard Schwab, Halas’ attorney, says that it was up to the school district to look into her background.
Schwab also argues that, even though the porn industry may not be a respectable industry to work in … it is a legitimate and legal one.
