സഹകരണ മേഖലയില്‍ പരീക്ഷണാടിസ്ഥാനത്തില്‍ ഓണ്‍ലൈന്‍ ടാക്സി സംരംഭം തുടങ്ങാനാണ് വകുപ്പിന്‍റെ നീക്കം. പരീക്ഷണാടിസ്ഥാനത്തില്‍ എറണാകുളത്ത് ടാക്സി സേവനം ആരംഭിക്കുമെന്ന് സഹകരണ വകുപ്പ് മന്ത്രി കടകംപള്ളി സുരേന്ദ്രന്‍ അറിയിച്ചു.
പദ്ധതി വിജയകരമാണെങ്കില്‍ മറ്റ് സ്ഥലങ്ങളിലേക്കും ഇത് വ്യാപിപ്പിക്കും.
വിജയകരമായ വെഹിക്കില്‍ എസ്ടി എന്ന സ്റ്റാര്‍ട്ടപ്പ് സംരംഭത്തിന്‍റെ പ്ലാറ്റ്ഫോം ഉപയോഗിച്ച് ഓണ്‍ലൈന്‍ ടാക്സി സേവനം ആരംഭിക്കാന്‍ നേരത്തെ തൊഴില്‍ വകുപ്പ് പദ്ധതിയിട്ടിരുന്നു.
തൊഴിലാളി യൂണിയനുകളെക്കൂടി ഉള്‍പ്പെടുത്തിക്കൊണ്ട് കഴിഞ്ഞ ഓണത്തിന് സേവനം ആരംഭിക്കാന്‍ തൊഴില്‍ വകുപ്പ് പദ്ധതിയിട്ടിരുന്നെങ്കിലും ഇതുവരെ സേവനം തുടങ്ങാനായിട്ടില്ല.
