പട്ടിണി മാറ്റാന്‍ രാജ്യത്തെ സ്വര്‍ണശേഖരം വിൽക്കുന്നു
ഫെബ്രുവരിക്കുള്ളില്‍ 29 ടണ്‍ സ്വര്‍ണം വില്‍ക്കാനാണ് വെനസ്വേലയുടെ തീരുമാനം.
കടുത്ത സാമ്ബത്തിക പ്രതിസന്ധിയെ തുടർന്ന് പട്ടിണി മാറ്റാന്‍ രാജ്യത്തെ സ്വര്‍ണശേഖരം വിറ്റഴിക്കാൻ ഒരുങ്ങുകയാണ് വെനസ്വേല.ദിവസങ്ങൾക്കുള്ളിൽ തന്നെ 15 ടണ്‍ സ്വര്‍ണം യു.എ.ഇ.ക്ക് വില്‍ക്കാന്‍ പ്രസിഡന്റ് നിക്കോലാസ് മദൂരോ തീരുമാനിച്ചു. ഫെബ്രുവരിക്കുള്ളില്‍ 29 ടണ്‍ സ്വര്‍ണം വില്‍ക്കാനാണ് വെനസ്വേലയുടെ തീരുമാനം. 120 കോടി ഡോളര്‍ വിലവരുന്ന സ്വര്‍ണമാണ് വില്‍ക്കുന്നത്. എന്നാല്‍, വെനസ്വേലയില്‍നിന്ന് സ്വര്‍ണം വാങ്ങാനുള്ള തീരുമാനം ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചില്ലെങ്കില്‍ ഉപരോധം ഏര്‍പ്പെടുത്തുമെന്ന ഭീഷണിയുമായി അമേരിക്ക രംഗത്തെത്തി.റഷ്യയുടെ പിന്തുണയോടെയാണ് വെനസ്വേല സ്വര്‍ണം വില്‍ക്കുന്നതെന്നാണ് സൂചന. കാരക്കസില്‍നിന്ന് 20 ടണ്‍ സ്വര്‍ണവുമായി റഷ്യന്‍ നോര്‍ഡ്‌വിന്‍ഡ്് വിമാനം പറന്നുയര്‍ന്നതായി റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടുണ്ട്. താന്‍ മോസ്‌കോയുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട ശേഷമാണ് റഷ്യ സഹായവുമായി രംഗത്തെത്തിയതെന്ന് മദൂരോയുടെ രാഷ്ട്രീയ എതിരാളിയായ യുവാന്‍ ഗ്വെയ്‌ഡോ അവകാശപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍, അത്തരമൊരു കത്ത് ലഭിച്ചിരുന്നില്ലെന്ന് മോസ്‌കോ വ്യക്തമാക്കി.വെനസ്വേലയുമായി സഹകരിക്കരുതെന്ന് അമേരിക്കന്‍ ദേശീയ സുരക്ഷാ ഉപദേഷ്ടാവ് ജോണ്‍ ബോള്‍ട്ടന്‍ മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നല്‍കിയിരുന്നു.നിക്കോളാസ് മദൂരോയെ അമേരിക്ക അംഗീകരിക്കാത്തതിനാലാണിത്. ഗ്വെയ്‌ഡോയെയാണ് വെനസ്വേലന്‍ ഭരണാധികാരിയായി അമേരിക്ക അംഗീകരിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്. വെനസ്വേലന്‍ സ്വര്‍ണം വാങ്ങാന്‍ തീരുമാനിക്കുകയാണെങ്കില്‍ ഉപരോധം നേരിടേണ്ടിവരുമെന്ന് റിപ്പബ്ലിക്കന്‍ സെനറ്റര്‍ മാര്‍ക്കോ റൂബിയോ യു.എ.ഇ.ക്ക് മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നല്‍കി.ഇക്കൊല്ലം ഇതുവരെ മൂന്ന് ടണ്‍ സ്വര്‍ണമെങ്കിലും മദൂരോ വിറ്റുവെന്നാണ് റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട്. കഴിഞ്ഞവര്‍ഷം 90 കോടി ഡോളറിന്റെ അസംസ്‌കൃത സ്വര്‍ണം തുര്‍ക്കിക്ക് വിറ്റതായും റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. നാണയപ്പെരുപ്പത്തെത്തുടര്‍ന്ന് മൂല്യം നഷ്ടമായ വെനസ്വേലന്‍ കറന്‍സി ബൊലിവാറിനെ പിടിച്ചുനിര്‍ത്തുന്നതിനുവേണ്ടിയാണ് സ്വര്‍ണശേഖരം വിറ്റഴിക്കാന്‍ തീരുമാനിച്ചത്. സാമ്ബത്തിക പ്രതിസന്ധിയെത്തുടര്‍ന്ന് മദൂരോയുടെ രാജിക്കുവേണ്ടിയുള്ള സമ്മര്‍ദം ശക്തമായിരുന്നു.നവംബറിലെ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടനുസരിച്ച്‌ 132 ടണ്‍ സ്വര്‍ണമാണ് വെനസ്വേലയുടെ ശേഖരത്തിലുള്ളത്. യുവാന്‍ ഗ്വെയ്‌ഡോയുടെ പരാതിയെത്തുടര്‍ന്ന് ബാങ്ക.
