હજીરાથી ઘોઘા બીજી રો-રો ફેરી શરૂ થશે, પહેલી હાલ બંધ છે
વોએજ એક્સપ્રેસ ઇન્ડિયા દ્રારા ભારતની પ્રથમ સોલાર સંચાલિત રોપેક્સ ફેરી સેવા શરૂ કરવામાં આવશે. આ સેવા હજીરા ટર્મિનલથી શરૂ થશે અને ઘોઘા માત્ર 3 કલાકાં પહોંચાડશે. દિવસમાં બે વખત હજીરા- ઘોઘાની યાત્રા થઇ શકશે. વોએજ એક્સપ્રેસ ઘોઘાથી સવારે 9 વાગ્યે અને હજીરાથી સાંજે 6.30 કલાકે તથા વોએજ સિમ્ફની હજીરાથી સવારે 8 વાગ્યે અને ઘોઘાથી સાંજે 5 વાગ્યે નિકળશે. આ બોટમાં લગભગ કાર, ટ્રક સહિત 200 વાહનોને લઇ જવાની ક્ષમતા પણ છે.

ઘોઘા દહેજ રો-રો ફેરી કે જે હવે પેસેન્જર સાથે વાહનોની પણ હેર ફેર કરશે, જે રો-પેક્સ ફેરી સર્વિસનો પ્રારંભ થાય તે પહેલાં જ મુશ્કેલીઓ જોવા મળી રહી છે. રો-રો ફેરીમાં પ્રથમ ગ્રાસે મક્ષિકામો ઘાટ જોવા મળ્યો હતો. ઘોઘા દહેજ રો-પેક્સ ફેરી સર્વિસમાં પહેલા કોળિયે જ માખી જેવો ઘાટ ઘડાયો છે, કારણ કે આ શિપ આવી ગયા બાદ ગત 12 તારીખના રોજ મુખ્યમંત્રીનાં હસ્તે આ ફેરી શરૂ થવાની હતી. પરંતુ ત્યાં જ ખરાબ વાતાવરણ અને દહેજ ખાતે પોન્ટુન ક્ષતિગ્રસ્ત થવાના કારણે આ કાર્યક્રમ રદ્દ થયો. 15 મહિનામાં ફેરી સર્વિસ શરૂ કરવાની વાત હતી. પરંતુ ચાર વર્ષ કરતાં પણ વધુ સમય વિતવાં છતાં હજુ મૂળ ફેરી સર્વિસ શરૂ થઈ શકી નથી.
જો કે હાલ હવે ફેરી સર્વિસની શિપ આવી ગયા છતાં પણ અનેક મુશ્કેલીઓ આ ફેરી સર્વિસને નડી રહી છે. ખાસ કરીને તજજ્ઞોના મતે આ ફેરી સર્વિસને અવરજવર કરવા 4 મીટરનો ડ્રાફ્ટ જોઈએ. જે ડ્રાફ્ટ પાણીમાં મેળવવા સતત ડ્રેજિંગની કામગીરી પણ કરતી રહેવી પડશે. જે ખૂબ ખર્ચાળ બનશે. આ ઉપરાંત શિપને ઘોઘા લાવીને ત્યાં તેમાં ટ્રક, બસ લોડિંગ અનલોડિંગ કરવાની ટ્રાયલ કરવામાં આવી રહી છે. પરંતુ તેમાં પણ મુશ્કેલી નડી રહી છે.
