In the letter addressed to the Commissioner of Police, Choksi claimed he came to be on friendly terms with Jabarica over the past year. She lived opposite to his residential complex in Jolly Harbour but later shifted to Coco Bay Hotel, he said.

Mehul Choksi seeks bail in Dominica, his lawyers have written to Antigua & Barbuda police Commissioner on Sunday, providing names of his alleged abductors, according to Antigua News Room. Antigua PM Gaston Browne has said that based on Choksi's allegations, Antigua police has begun probing his possible abduction to Dominica. He maintaned that his govt was taking Choksi's allegations seriously. Dominica High Court, which is hearing Choksi's habeas corpus petition, will hear his bail plea on Tuesday - 8 June.

पंजाब नेशनल बैंक घोटाले के आरोपी मेहुल चोकसी को आखिरकार कैरेबियाई देश डोमिनिका में गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया है। इससे एक दिन पहले भगोड़े हीरा कारोबारी मेहुल चोकसी के एंटीगुआ-बारबुडा से लापता होने की खबर सामने आई थी। स्थानीय मीडिया रिपोर्ट के अनुसार चोकसी 2017 में एंटीगुआ और बारबुडा की नागरिकता लेने के बाद 2018 से यहां रह रहा था। लापता होने पर उसके खिलाफ इंटरपोल ने ‘यलो नोटिस’ जारी किया था। खास बात ये है कि इस गिरफ्तारी के साथ मेहुल चोकसी की एंटीगुआ में वापसी से ज्यादा उसके भारत लौटने के आसार हैं।
