ലൈംഗിക തൊഴിലാളികള്‍ക്കും സേവനം നിഷേധിക്കാം ലൈംഗിക തൊഴിലാളിയെ കൂട്ടബലാത്സംഗത്തിന് ഇരയാക്കിയ കേസ് പരിഗണിക്കവേയാണ് കോടതിയുടെ പരാമര്‍ശംലൈംഗിക തൊഴിലാളികള്‍ക്കും ആവശ്യമുള്ള ഘട്ടങ്ങളില്‍ സേവനം നിരസിക്കാനുള്ള അവകാശമുണ്ടെന്ന് സുപ്രീം കോടതി.ലൈംഗികവൃത്തി ചെയ്യുമ്പോഴും ലൈംഗിക ബന്ധത്തില്‍ ഏര്‍പ്പെടാതിരിക്കാനുള്ള അവകാശം സ്ത്രീകള്‍ക്കുണ്ടെന്ന് സുപ്രീംകോടതി നിരീക്ഷിച്ചു. ഇക്കാരണത്താല്‍ ആര്‍ക്കും സ്ത്രീയെ ബലാത്സംഗം ചെയ്യാനാകില്ലെന്ന് കോടതി വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
ഡല്‍ഹിയില്‍ ലൈംഗിക തൊഴിലാളിയെ കൂട്ടബലാത്സംഗത്തിന് ഇരയാക്കിയ കേസ് പരിഗണിക്കവേയാണ് സുപ്രീം കോടതിയുടെ പരാമർശം. 1997ലാണ് ഡൽഹിയിൽ ലൈംഗിക തൊഴിലാളിയെ കൂട്ടബലാത്സംഗത്തിന് ഇരയാക്കിയത്.കേസില്‍ 2009ല്‍ ഡല്‍ഹി ഹൈക്കോടതി പ്രസ്താവിച്ച വിധി സുപ്രീം കോടതി തള്ളി കളഞ്ഞു. കേസിലെ നാല് പ്രതികള്‍ക്കും കീഴ്‌ക്കോടതി വിധിച്ച പത്ത് വര്‍ഷത്തെ ജയില്‍ശിക്ഷ സുപ്രീം കോടതി ശരിവെക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.ജസ്റ്റിസുമാരായ ആര്‍. ബാനുമതി, ഇന്ദിര ബാനര്‍ജി എന്നിവരടങ്ങിയ ബെഞ്ചാണ് കേസ് പരിഗണിച്ചത്.
