സസ്യലോകത്തെ എല്ലാത്തരം ചെടികളും കേരളത്തിലെ എല്ലാത്തരം കൃഷിയുടെയും ചെറുരൂപം അതാണ് മണ്ണുത്തി കാര്‍ഷികസര്‍വകലാശാലയിലെ 'കിസാന്‍ ഇക്കോ പാര്‍ക്ക്' .നാം കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കിലും പേരറിയാത്ത നിരവധി ചെടികളും കായ്കളുമുണ്ട് . അതുമാത്രമല്ല, ഇവയുടെയൊക്കെ കൃഷിയെങ്ങിനെ ചെയ്യാമെന്നും മറ്റും ഇവിടെ വന്നാൽ നേരിട്ട് കണ്ട് പഠിക്കാം . അതു മാത്രമല്ല പാഷന്‍ഫ്രൂട്ടുപോലുള്ള പഴങ്ങൾ ജ്യൂസാക്കിമാറ്റുന്നതെങ്ങനെയെന്ന് പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഒരു മിനി ലാബ് അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ ഇന്‍ക്യുബേഷന്‍ കേന്ദ്രമെന്നുവിളിക്കാവുന്ന സംവിധാനവും ഇവിടെയുണ്ട്.കണ്ടാൽ ഒരു പച്ച കൂടാരം പോലെ . അതിനുള്ളില്‍ നിറയെ സ്ട്രോബറിച്ചെടികളാണ്. മൂന്നാറും ഊട്ടിയും വയനാടും പോലുള്ള തണുപ്പന്‍ ദേശങ്ങളില്‍ വളരുന്ന സ്ട്രോബറി ചെടികളെ പച്ചവലകൊണ്ടൊരു കൂടാരം തീര്‍ത്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഈ സ്ട്രോബറിപ്പഴങ്ങളും മറ്റും 'വില്‍ക്കാനുള്ളതല്ല, കൃഷിയെ അടുത്തറിയാനുള്ളതാണിതെല്ലാം. കാര്‍ഷികസര്‍വകലാശാലയുടെ വിജ്ഞാനവ്യാപന വിഭാഗത്തിന്റെ രണ്ടുവര്‍ഷത്തെ അധ്വാനമാണ് മണ്ണുത്തിയിലെ ഇക്കോ പാര്‍ക്ക്.പൂര്‍ണമായും സംസ്ഥാനസര്‍ക്കാരിന്റെ പദ്ധതിവിഹിതമാണ് ഇതിനായി ഉപയോഗിച്ചത്. മണ്ണുത്തിയിലെ ഉപയോഗശൂന്യമായിക്കിടന്ന സ്ഥലം കൃഷിയുടെ വിജ്ഞാനവര്‍ധിനിയായി മാറിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ഏതാണ്ട് 25 ലക്ഷം രൂപയാണ് ചിലവ് .കൃഷിയെക്കുറിച്ച്‌ വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികള്‍ക്കും പൊതുജനങ്ങള്‍ക്കും അവബോധമുണ്ടാക്കുകയാണ് കിസാന്‍ ഇക്കോ പാര്‍ക്കിന്റെ ലക്ഷ്യമെന്ന് കാര്‍ഷികസര്‍വകലാശാലാ വിജ്ഞാനവ്യാപന ഡയറക്ടര്‍ ഡോ. ജിജു പി. അലക്സ് പറഞ്ഞു. കൃഷിയിലേക്ക് പുതുതായി വരാന്‍ ആലോചിക്കുന്നവര്‍ക്ക് അതിന്റെ ചെറുമാതൃകകള്‍ കണ്ട് പഠിക്കാം, സംശയങ്ങള്‍ തീര്‍ക്കാം, ആവശ്യമെങ്കില്‍ പരിശീലനവും ലഭ്യമാക്കുമെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു. കൃഷിയിലും അനുബന്ധ കാര്‍ഷികമേഖലകളും ഉള്ള വിവിധ ഘടകങ്ങള്‍ ഒറ്റപ്പാര്‍പ്പിടത്തിനുകീഴില്‍ കൊണ്ടുവന്നിരിക്കുകയാണ് ഇവിടെ .വിനോദവും വിജ്ഞാനവും ഒരുപോലെ സംയോജിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന കാര്‍ഷികസര്‍വകലാശാലയുടെ മണ്ണുത്തി കേന്ദ്രത്തില്‍ ചുരുങ്ങിയത് ആയിരം പേരെങ്കിലും ഒരുദിവസം വന്നുപോകുന്നുണ്ട്. സര്‍വകലാശാലയുടെ വിത്തിനങ്ങളും ചെടികളും ഉത്പന്നങ്ങളും വാങ്ങുന്ന.
