हिमाचल प्रदेश तकनीकी विश्वविद्यालय में लंबे समय से लंबित पड़ी मांगों को लेकर हमीरपुर के गांधी चौक पर एबीवीपी के कार्यकर्ताओं ने जिला स्तरीय पर प्रदर्शन किया। बेतहाशा बढ़ी फीस और स्टाफ के स्थाई नियुक्ति की मांग को लेकर यह प्रदर्शन किया गया है। हिमाचल प्रदेश तकनीकी विश्वविद्यालय की एबीवीपी इकाई के उपाध्यक्ष महेश कुमार की अगुवाई में यह प्रदर्शन किया गया है। प्रदर्शन के दौरान हिमाचल प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री जयराम ठाकुर और तकनीकी शिक्षा मंत्री रामलाल मारकंडे मुर्दाबाद के नारे भी लगाए।

प्रदेश सरकार की बसों में ओबरलोडिंग की सख्ती के चलते कालेज के छात्र भी पूरी तरह से प्रभावित हो गए है। इसी के चलते हमीरपुर डिग्री कालेज की एबीवीपी इकाई ने आरएम कार्यालय हमीरपुर के बाहर धरना दिया और जोरदार नारेबाजी की। एबीवीपी ने मांग की है कि कालेज छात्रों के लिए अतिरिक्त बसें लगाई जाए ताकि पढाई बाधित न हो सके। वहीं आरएम हमीरपुर विवेक लखनपाल ने छात्रों की मांग को सुनते हुए जल्द तीन रूटोंपर नई बसें लगाने के लिए कहा है।
