Kieron Pollard is considered one of the most destructive batters in the shortest format of the game. Currently the captain of the West Indies’ white-ball teams, he has blown the trumpet of his repertoire on many occasions. However, it seems that former New Zealand pacer Danny Morrison isn’t a fan of the West Indies all-rounder.

Pollard’s heroics in the white ball games is known to all. He is considered one of the most lethal players in the T20 format and is also renowned as a brilliant finisher. For his Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, Mumbai Indians as well, he has chipped in crucial runs to sail the team to victory several times.

Morrison, however, said that the West Indies all-rounder is an “overrated cricketer” of the present generation. He put forward his thoughts while speaking to Sportskeeda and his opinion went on to surprise quite a few. The former New Zealand cricketer also opened up on who according to him is the most underrated cricketer.

According to Morrison, India’s Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan are the most underrated cricketers. Both of the players have been instrumental for MI in the IPL for a long now. Owing to their consistent performances in the high-profile tournament, they received the India call-up. Both the batters impressed the cricketing fraternity on their debuts and have emerged as some of the promising players for team India.

Former Australia skipper Ricky Ponting has predicted the Ashes score-line on the eve of the opening clash in Brisbane. Ponting reckoned that Australia will trump England 3-1 while giving them the edge for the Adelaide Test.

“I think Australia will win, because England are going to struggle to take 20 wickets, with the kind of bowlers [they have]. They do not have a real quality spinner in their lineup for these conditions,” Ponting told cricket.com.au.
