25000 ത്തില്‍ അധികം യാത്രക്കാരുള്ള എല്ലാ സ്റ്റേഷനുകളിലും എസ്കലേറ്റര്‍ സൗകാര്യം ഒരുക്കാനായിരുന്നു ആദ്യ തീരുമാനം. എന്നാല്‍ പുതിയ തീരുമാനമാനുസരിച്ച് ഒരു ലക്ഷത്തിലധികം യാത്രക്കാരുള്ള സ്റ്റേഷനുകളില്‍ മാത്രമേ എസ്കലേറ്റര്‍ സൗകര്യം നല്കൂ.എല്ലാ പ്രമുഖ സ്റ്റേഷനുകളിലും ഈ സൗകര്യം നിലവിലുണ്ട്.പുതിയ തീരുമാനം അനുസരിച്ച് വളരെ ചുരുക്കം സ്റ്റേഷനുകളില്‍ മാത്രം എസ്കലേട്ടറുകള്‍ സ്ഥാപിച്ചാല്‍ മതിയാകുംഭിന്നശേഷിക്കാരായ യാത്രക്കരുള്‍പ്പെടെ എല്ലാവര്‍ക്കും സൌകര്യപ്രദമായ രീതിയില്‍ യാത്രാസംവിധാനങ്ങള്‍ ഒരുക്കാന്‍ റെയില്‍വേ തീരുമാനിച്ചതിന്റെ ഭാഗമായിട്ടാണ് എസ്കലേറ്റര്‍ സൗകര്യം യാഥാര്‍ഥ്യമാക്കുന്നത്. ആദ്യഘട്ടത്തില്‍ 8 കോടിക്കും 60 കോടിക്കും ഇടയില്‍ വരുമാനമുള്ള സ്റ്റേഷനുകളില്‍ എസ്കലേറ്റര്‍ സ്ഥാപിക്കാനായിരുന്നു തീരുമാനം.എന്നാല്‍ ഒരു എസ്കലേട്ടറിന് തന്നെ ഒരു കോടി രൂപയോളം നിര്‍മ്മാണത്തിനായി ചെലവ് വരുമെന്നതിനാലാണ് പുതിയ തീരുമാനമെന്ന് സൂചനയുണ്ട്.പ്രധാനമന്ത്രിയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തില്‍ ഏപ്രില്‍ മാസം ചേര്‍ന്ന അവലോകന യോഗത്തില്‍ വന്‍തോതില്‍ ഉള്ള എസ്കലേട്ടറുകളുടെ നിര്‍മ്മാണം ഫലപ്രദമായിരിക്കില്ലെന്നു വിലയിരുത്തിയിരുന്നു.ഇതോടെയാണ് മാനദണ്ഡത്തില്‍ മാറ്റം വരുത്തി പുതിയ തീരുമാനം എടുത്തത്.Subscribe to News60 :https://goo.gl/VnRyuF Read: http://www.news60.in/ https://www.facebook.com/news60ml/

AMARAVATI: In an election eve vote-on-account budget for 2019-20, the Chandrababu Naidu government in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday announced an economic support scheme for farmers and doubled the unemployment pension to Rs 2,000.
With the state elections due in three months, Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu presented the Rs 2.26 lakh crore vote-on-account budget, an 18.38 per cent increase over the current year, in the assembly. He pegged down the revenue deficit to Rs 2,099 crore as against Rs 2,494 crore in the revised estimates.
The highlight of the budget is the allocation of Rs 5,000 crore for Annadaata Sukhibhava scheme primarily intended to provide economic support (input grant) to farmers, akin to the one announced in the union budget on February 1.
