15 കാരിയായ പ്രമോദിനി റോള്‍ സ്‌കൂള്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞ് നടന്നു വരുമ്പോഴായിരുന്നു 28 കാരനായ അര്‍ധസൈനീകനായി ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്ന യുവാവ് പ്രണയാഭ്യര്‍ഥന നടത്തുന്നത്. എന്നാല്‍ അവള്‍ നിരസിച്ചതോടെ കലി മൂത്ത അയാള്‍ തന്റെ കൈവശമുണ്ടായിരുന്ന വീര്യമേറിയ ആസിഡ് പെണ്‍കുട്ടിയുടെ ശരീരത്തിലേയ്ക്ക് ഒഴിച്ചു. അവിടുന്നാണ് പ്രമോദിനിയുെട ജീവിതം മാറുന്നത്.ഏറെക്കാലത്തെ ചികിത്സയ്ക്കൊടുവിലാണ് അവള്‍ ജീവിതത്തിലേക്ക് തിരിച്ചുവന്നത്.
എന്നാല്‍ അപ്പോഴേക്കും അവളുടെ കാഴ്ച്ച നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു. ജീവിതം തീര്‍ന്നു എന്ന കരുതിയിരുന്നപ്പോഴാണ് സരോജ് കുമാര്‍ സാഹൂ എന്ന യുവാവിന്റെ വരവ്. നഴ്‌സായ സുഹൃത്തിനെ കാണാനെത്തിയ സരോജ് കാഴ്ച നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ട പ്രമോദിനിയെ കാണുന്നു.സരോജിന്റെ സാന്നിധ്യം മനസിന്റെ സന്തോഷം ശരീരത്തിലും മാറ്റങ്ങളുണ്ടാക്കി തുടങ്ങി.2016 ജനുവരി 16 ന് സരോജ് തന്റെ പ്രണയം പ്രമോദിനിയെ അറിയിച്ചു.ശസ്ത്രക്രിയയിലൂടെ കാഴ്ച വീണ്ടെടുത്ത പ്രമോദിനി ആസിഡ് ആക്രമണത്തിന് ശേഷമുള്ള തന്റെ രൂപം ആദ്യമായി കണ്ടു.സരോജിന്റെ സ്‌നേഹത്തിന്റെ തീവ്രത അവള്‍ തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞു.പ്രണയം നിരസിച്ചതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്നുണ്ടായ ആസിഡ് ആക്രമണത്തില്‍ ഇരുകണ്ണുകളും തലമുടിയും നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ട് ഉരുകിയൊലിച്ച ചര്‍മ്മവുമായി ജീവിതത്തോട് പടവെട്ടി മുന്നേറിയ 25കാരിക്ക് വര്‍ഷങ്ങള്‍ക്കിപ്പുറം പ്രണയ മാംഗല്യം.

He bribed few policemen to get the case shut and continued to serve in paramilitary, got married and has a child, too. I wish I wasn’t using the term ‘serve’ in the monster’s regard, and I couldn’t be more glad to learn that he is finally behind the bars.
Rani’s condition was critical when she was brought to the hospital, and her family and doctors lost hope very soon. And right then stepped in Saroj. “He truly is God’s gift to me”, Rani shared. He was a stranger, but contrary to everyone’s belief, he saw courage in Rani – the simple selfless reason that led him to help Rani.
