रियो पैरालंपिक में भारत के लिए अच्छी खबर है....भारत ने एक और पदक हासिल कर लिया है. जेवलिन थ्रो में देवेंद्र झाझरिया ने गोल्ड जीता है. पैरालंपिक में यह उनका दूसरा गोल्ड है... उन्होंेने 63.97 मीटर जेवलिन फेंककर नया विश्वै रिकॉर्ड बनाया. 12 साल पहले 2004 एथेंस पैरालंपिक में भी उन्होंने गोल्ड जीता था. एथेंस पैरालंपिक में उन्होंने 62.15 मीटर जेवलिन फेंका था, जो कि एक वर्ल्ड रिकॉर्ड था. भारत का रियो पैरालिंपिक में यह दूसरा स्व2र्ण पदक है और इन खेलों में यह भारत की अब तक की सबसे बड़ी कामयाबी है. इस पदक के साथ ही रियो पैरालंपिक में भारत के कुल पदकों की संख्या 4 हो गई है, जिसमें 2 गोल्ड, एक सिल्वर और एक ब्रॉन्ज है...वैसे भारत के ही एक अन्ये एथलीट रिंकू सिंह भी इसी स्पपर्द्धा में पांचवें स्थाभन पर रहे. आपको बता दें कि इस साल पैरालंपिक में भारत की ओर से जैवेलिन में हिस्सा, लेने तीन एथलीट गए थे..वहीं प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने देवेंद्र को उनकी उपलब्धि

Jhajharia, also a gold medallist in 2004, achieved a throw of 63.97m.

रियो में चल रहे पैरालंपिक खेलों में भारत ने कीर्तिमान स्थापित किया है.. हाई जंप इवेंट में भारत ने गोल्ड और ब्रॉन्ज पदक पर कब्ज़ा कर लिया...ऊंची कूद में मरियप्पन थांगावेलू ने गोल्ड पर कब्जा जमाते हुए इतिहास रच दिया है, तो वहीं, वरुण सिंह भाटी ने इसी इवेंट में कांस्य पदक अपने नाम किया. मरियप्प न थांगावेलू ने 1.89 मी. की जंप लगाते हुए सोना जीता, जबकि भाटी ने 1.86 मी. की जंप लगाते हुए कांस्य पदक अपने नाम किया. वहीं, रजत पदक अमेरिका के सैम ग्रेवी को मिला. उधर, भारत के ही संदीप भाला फेंक कांस्य जीतने से चूक गए और वह चौथे स्थान पर रहे. थांगावेलू और भाटी की इस सफलता के बाद अभी तक के सभी पैरालिम्पिक्स खेलों में भारत के कुल पदकों की संख्या 10 हो गई है, जिसमें 3 स्वर्ण, तीन रजत और चार कांस्य शामिल है..थांगावेलू और भाटी की सफलता पर राष्ट्रपति और पीएम मोदी ने दोनों को बधाई दी है..वहीं केंद्र सरकार ने गोल्ड जीतने वाले थांगा को 75 लाख रूपए इनाम देने का ऐलान किया है..जबकि भाटी को 30 लाख रुपए इनाम दिया जाएगा। वहीं तमिलनाडु सरकार ने मरियप्पन के लिए 2 करोड़ के इनाम का ऐलान किया है।
