Sanjay Singh is a Member of the Political Affairs Committee and National Executive of the Aam Aadmi Party. A social activist turned politician, he was in charge of party affairs in the state of Punjab during the elections and a core member of the Delhi Election Campaign Group (DECG) which was formed during the Delhi assembly elections. In 1994, he started an organisation called ‘Azad Sewa Samiti’. He started working among the poor — organizing blood donation camps, health camps and campaigning for people’s rights. Singh was among those who were involved in creating the Aam Aadmi Party in 2012. He was a Committee Member of Team Anna and spoke on behalf of it during India Against Corruption movement. He was also involved in a movement to clean the Gomati River by Shramdan (labour gift) and participated in a protest against corruption within the Clean Gomati River project by the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
Under Sanjay's leadership under the guidance of Arvind Kejriwal, the Aam Aadmi party became the largest opposition party in Punjab under his leadership and has the Leader of Opposition in its debut electoral contest.
