Shimla(Himachal Pradesh): The candle light program was organized by the district police to pay tributes to the martyrs outside the police reporting room at Mal Rod on Wednesday evening in the capital Shimla. In the program, DGP Sanjay Kundu burnt the candle in memory of the martyrs towards Shikrat as the chief guest and offered a wreath. After this, senior police police officers Mayor, Deputy Mayor Singh Sabha and local people paid floral tributes. DGP Sanjay Kundu said that this day is celebrated every year on 21 October in memory of the martyrs. On this day, soldiers who have been martyred throughout the year are remembered and their names are recited and they are bowed down.
