Shimla Himachal Pradesh: 1225 posts of JBT has been approved to fill in government schools of the state. The Directorate of Elementary Education has issued orders for all district officers to start counseling for batchwise recruitment. In these posts, 758 posts will be filled through batchwise and 467 posts through Staff Selection Commission Hamirpur. D.El.Ed.'s will be given priority in batchwise recruitment. The Director of Elementary Education issued written orders following the intervention of Education Minister Govind Thakur. Government had taken a legal opinion in the past to fill 1225 posts of JBT. NCTE has also considered B.Ed as eligible for JBT recruitment. Under the R & P rules of the state, those doing JBT are included in the recruitment. In such a situation, the government caught in a dilemma about this recruitment has decided to give priority to D.El.Ed. after taking legal opinion.
