Una(Himachal Pradesh): Two parties clashed over mining lease in district Una on Monday night. In the incident some people beat up a mining lease holder in Khanpur, adjacent to the town of Santoshgarh. After the incident, the aggrieved side approached the police and pleaded for justice. Police have registered an FIR in the case and started the investigation. The injured victim, Gurdeep, said that he was carrying out the mining activities on the lease as per the rules, but the illegal miners were trying to influence his work, which he managed did not let it happen. On this, the other side reached at the lease land with weapons and attacked on him. The victim says that about two dozen accused rushed to the spot in the vehicles and started fighting. According to Victim, his car was also damaged during the violence. ASP Una Vinod Dhiman told that some people have reached Santoshgarh police station and registered a case in connection with the assault. The incident has been related to mining activities, in which 3 injured people have been given medical treatment. The investigation of the case has been started by registering cases in various sections of the IPC.

About ASHI, Haryana:
Association for Social Health in India (ASHI) is a Voluntary and Social Organization aiming at challenging those conditions that lead to exploitation of women and children for anti-social purposes by providing shelter for Destitute & Orphan children and arranging for their education, vocational training and rehabilitation are one of the Association’s main activities. The Governor of Haryana, their Chief Patron, visits the Home once a year to encourage and bless the children.
