Arki (Solan) : The swearing-in ceremony of newly elected members of the Nagar Panchayat Arki was held at the SDM office in Arki of solan district. SDM Vikas Shukla administered the oath to all the seven members. This was followed by the election of president and vice president, in which unanimously elected Congress-backed Anuj Gupta was elected president and Hemendra Gupta as vice-president. It is known that Congress-backed councilors have won five seats in the elections held in seven seats of Arki Nagar Panchayat, while BJP-backed members won two seats.
