Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) : On the occasion of completing 50 golden years of statehood of Himachal Pradesh, the State Congress laid a wreath on the statue of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar. Congress leaders including Himachal Congress President Kuldeep Singh Rathore and Leader of Opposition Mukesh Agnihotri paid homage to the statue of Indira Gandhi and Himachal's first CM Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar, and congratulated the people of the state on the occasion of statehood. On this occasion, Rathore expressed his displeasure that the leaders who contributed to the development of Himachal Pradesh have been completely forgotten. Even the former PM Indira Gandhi, who gave Himachal statehood, her statue covered. Former Congress CM Virbhadra Singh and Thakur Ram Lal are not named in the hoardings, they have served the state for so many years. Not only this, whoever was the CM during the BJP government, for example, Shanta Kumar and Prem Kumar Dhumal did not have a name till yesterday, which they also opposed.
