Jogindernagar (Himachal Pradesh) : BJP MP from Mandi parliamentary seat Ram Swaroop Sharma cremated at Machhayal of Jogindernagar in Himachal Pradesh. Thousands of people paid homage to their popular MP's with moist eyes. MLAs from various assembly constituencies, especially cabinet minister Sarveen Chaudhary, Chief Minister OSD Shishu Bhai Dharma, Satpal Satti, Joginder Nagar MLA Prakash Rana, former minister Thakur Gulab Singh, were present at his native place. After worshiping, his body was taken from his place of residence to the religious place of Machhayal. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur also reached Jogindernagar by helicopter and first reached the MP's house to console his family, after that he attend the funeral of MP Ram Swaroop Sharma in Machhayal.

Sharma was allegedly suffering from severe depression and was under treatment for the last six months. He was alone at his flat in Delhi as his wife was on the Char Dham pilgrimage. Sharma's personal security officer was in Mandi. Ram Swaroop Sharma is said to have hung himself from a ceiling fan. Born in 1958 in Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi district, Sharma was first elected to Lok Sabha in 2014. He was again reelected from Mandi in the 2019 elections. He also served on the Parliamentary standing committee on External Affairs. Ram Swaroop Sharma is survived by his wife and three sons.

मंडी। लगभग तीन महीनों के बाद दिवंगत सांसद राम स्वरूप शर्मा के परिवार ने उनकी मौत को हत्या बताया है। स्व. राम स्वरूप शर्मा के तीन बेटे हैं और इनमें से मंझला बेटा आनंद स्वरूप इन दिनों दिल्ली में अपने पिता की मौत को लेकर पुलिस द्वारा की गई जांच को जांचने के लिए गया हुआ है। पुलिस से आनंद स्वरूप को जो जानकारी मिली है उसके अनुसार अभी तक सिर्फ पोस्टमार्टम की रिपोर्ट ही आई है जबकि बाकी रिपोर्ट आना अभी बाकी है। मामले की त्वरित जांच को लेकर वे दिल्ली में केंद्रीय मंत्री नीतिन गडकरी से भी मिल चुके हैं और अब लोकसभा अध्यक्ष से मिलने वाले हैं। वहीं प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी से भी मिलने के लिए समय मांगा है।
