There are many wrestlers from Himachal Pradesh whose livelihood is fixed on these wrestling competitions. One of them is 29-year-old Golu Pahalwan alias Deshraj from Nurpur in Kangra district. Golu Pahalwan, with a weight of 90 kg and a height of 5 feet 9 inches, started wrestling five years ago. due to Corona, Golu Pahalwan's wrestling was also locked. Golu Pahalwan is working as a porter in Mandi. Where he gets five rupees in exchange for carrying a quintal load. On this side, barely earning 8 to 10 thousand a month, he is taking care of himself and his family.

Association for Social Health in India (ASHI) is a Voluntary and Social Organization aiming at challenging those conditions that lead to exploitation of women and children for anti-social purposes by providing shelter for Destitute & Orphan children and arranging for their education, vocational training and rehabilitation are one of the Association’s main activities. The Governor of Haryana, their Chief Patron, visits the Home once a year to encourage and bless the children.
